The South Korean automobile brand just introduced its first-ever full-electric compact crossover. The Kia EV6 is going to be a fully electric vehicle under the brand’s name. The concept and model were introduced just in March 2021. Interestingly, it is going to be Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle also, the first that is going to be developed on an Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
The exterior and interior look of the model has been just outstanding. The designers at Kia put in their efforts and came up with unique exterior and interior styling. The Kia EV6 comes with the best and quickest charging technologies that are available in the market.
The charging port of this fully-electric compact has been given an 800-volt architecture. The EV6 from Kia is highly similar to Hyundai Ioniq 5. For the upcoming year, we are not expecting any additional trim levels of the Kia EV6. The compact electric model will be made available in a single trim level only.
Today, in the current generation the all-electric model will face fierce competition from other segments like the 2022 Ford Mach-E, 2022 Hyundai Kona Electric, 2022 Tesla Model Y, 2022 Volkswagen ID. 4, and many more.
Engine and Performance of 2022 Kia EV6 Electric
Initially, when the pictures of the all-new EV6 were leaked people thought that this is not going to be a powerful one. But, as the specifications of the model were updated people from all around the country were shocked.
The Kia EV6 is packed with a powerful 58.0- kWh battery pack. This heavy and powerful battery of the model is attached to a single electric motor. Interestingly, the electric motor present inside the car is attached to the rear axle of the model. The upper version of the EV6 comes with a much larger battery pack of 77.4 kWh and the power outcome from that is huge.
The initial model that will be offered to the customers might come as a limited edition. But, the upper versions of the EV6 will be packed with a huge battery and electric motor. The 77.4 kWh battery model is capable of producing 313 horsepower along with 446 lb-ft of torque. The model will be coming with a superior single-speed direct-drive transmission.
The transmission of the model transfers all that power equally to its rear wheels only. Additionally, the model provides a high-quality ride. The electric engine of the EV6 can reach from 0-60 MPH in just 5.2 seconds and finishes its quarter-mile in just 13.8 seconds. The electric compact car has an enormous top speed of 162 miles per hour.

The Kia EV6 is undoubtedly the powerful one in the segment with enormous power and torque output. The compact all-electric model even completes its 0-60 MPH run in just 5.2 seconds which is 0.6 seconds faster than the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The second place is taken by Ford Mustang Mach-E in the segment then followed by the Hyundai Kona Electric.
Fuel Economy of 2022 Kia EV6 Electric
We know that electric cars are well known for their driving range and mileage figures on all road conditions. The electric motor of the Kia Ev6 offers some interesting mileage figures on all road conditions. The 2022 version of Kia EV6 is expected to offer 123 MPGe in the city, 102 MPGe on the highway, and 112 MPGe as combined.
We can surely say that these mileage figures of EV6 are better than its other rivals in the market. Additionally, we are expecting that the upcoming EV6 will have an overall range of 300 miles. The overall miles offered by EV6 could change the range of other competitors in the market.

We can see that the Hyundai Kona offers the best MPGe figures than other models in the segment. The MPGe figures of the Kia EV6 are slightly closer to the Hyundai Kona Electric. But, we can see that the range of Kia EV6 is better than all the other rivals in the segment. Unfortunately, the Ford Mustang Mach-E offers the lowest MPGe figures on all road conditions. The overall range of the Ford Mustang Mach-E is lesser than the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia EV6 Electric.
Interior of 2022 Kia EV6 Electric
The interior of the upcoming EV6 is going to be electrifying and futuristic. The designers have put great effort to make the interior of the EV6 Electric look the best for the customers. The interior of the model is filled with high-tech features and comes with a digital dashboard upfront.
Both the front and rear cabin of the Kia EV6 remains highly practical. Interestingly, the model has a floating center console that comes with large storage space. The passenger and driver seat of the model provides enough back support.
Unfortunately, as of now, we do not have any idea of what the upholstery is going to be. But, we are quite sure that the manufacturing company will provide the best materials for the EV6. The EV6 will come with an enormous 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster. The system will feature many interesting features to the customer.

Unfortunately, we do not have the interior passenger dimensions of the Kia EV6 but, we are quite sure that it will have enough to fit in five average-sized people. The Hyundai Kona Electric offers with slightly better interior passenger room when it comes to the front cabin. But, moving to the rear cabin, The Mustang Mach-E offers slightly more passenger room than the Hyundai Kona Electric.
