The exterior of Genesis’s electric car is futuristic, with a long grille and angular headlights. The body is styled similarly to many other luxury sedans, so it fits right in at your local dealership. And if you’re expecting an ugly plug on its backside, you won’t find one—its charging port is hidden inside its grille, like a set of fangs. In front, it has 20-inch wheels shod in low-rolling-resistance tires; 13-inch rotors clamping down on them via six-piston calipers provide ample stopping power.

The Genesis electrified GV70 gets a lot of attention for its looks. It’s offered in several exclusive paint colors including Brunswick Green, Mauna Red, Barossa Burgundy, and its matte shade too. In full-electric mode, it will travel 50 miles on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in under three hours using public quick-charging stations or approximately 12 hours using a standard home wall outlet. The interior has been designed to prioritize comfort and maximize space and utility without feeling crowded or confined, a common complaint with EVs. There are storage compartments throughout: between each seat, the central console area, and the door pockets—along with cup holders that allow for four cup sizes.

The time it takes to charge is based on how you charge your car. The home charger can take up to 13 hours, and DC fast-charging stations will give you an 80% charge in 30 minutes. There are options like a 2-hour high-speed wall socket charger or even a portable 10,000 mAh power bank battery pack if you can’t wait that long!

The Genesis Electrified GV70 offers super-fast charging through the all-electric range (AER). Due to the presence of driving motors and inverters, customers can charge from 400V to 800V rapidly. The maximum range per charge has been tested which is over 500km. Genesis Electrified GV70 has an 800V rapid charge system that allows people to utilize both 400V and 800V depending upon their needs. In just 18 minutes, this car gets charged from 10% to 80%. That’s huge for drivers to use Electrified Genesis GV70 conveniently!

Moreover, it has a V2L feature that facilitates getting it charged by using an electric appliance outside of the vehicle. It is roughly estimated that it can go over the  500km range per charge.

The battery pack is designed to provide Genesis’ powertrain with enough juice for a range of 250 miles. According to Genesis, you can fully charge your electric vehicle overnight using a standard wall outlet. On the other hand, if you have access to DC fast charging capabilities, that same battery can be fully charged in under one hour.

Promising Performance 

The car’s interior is spacious and elegant, while its exterior design is sleek. Genesis has promised that it will reach a speed of 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds and travel up to 300 km on a single charge. Despite being quite expensive, however, customers have had no problems with purchasing, and there have been no issues with sales so far.

Genesis Electrified GV70 has a pair of powerful electric motors that deliver 482 horsepower band 516 Lb-ft of torque in the Boost Mode. This highly powerful mode can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. That is 0.6 seconds faster than the previous models.

All-wheel drive feature makes Electrified Genesis GV70 the performance head of its all models i.e.160kW and 350 Nm motors at both ends, spiking to 360kW in the Boost Mode. Not only this, Genesis Electrified GV70 is the first of its kind Genesis model that offers the SUV-specific e-Terrain model to make your driving experience worthy in various environments.

Electrified GV70 has a multi-collision brake system that further enhances the driving experience. The use of the latest cutting-edge technologies has made the smart regenerative braking system a huge success.
