Gravton Motors, a Hyderabad-based start-up electric vehicle brand, has launched its first electric two wheeler that could make notable reflections in the Indian EV industry and is tagged as Quanta. The bike is schemed out to be tough with an off-road suspension system and extendable battery bay for exquisite control and comfort and thereby proves to be the perfect vehicle meant for the countryside and rougher terrain.
Parshuram Paka, Founder & CEO, Gravton Motors, has said that the electric two wheeler has been fully designed and developed locally and comes packed with innovative features. They claim a vehicle longevity of 15 years.
Gravton Quanta is strategized from the bedrocks and chiseled with integrally charted and improved components, thus making Gravton one of the only few EV brands fabricating with the highest number of parts in India.

Engine And Battery Of Gravton Quanta
Power for the Quanta comes from the 3 kW BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) electric motor which is designed and manufactured in-house. The engine develops a power of around 4 hp, while the maximum torque is 170 Nm. The top speed is 70 km / h. The company claims about this bike that it gives a range of 120 km on a single charge. The company says this can be extended to 320 km in the Eco mode. The vehicle is featured with three driving modes in which the first is Eco mode, second is City mode and third is Sport mode.
The 3kW lithium-ion detachable battery can be charged at home in less than 3 hours and can be quickly charged in 90 minutes with an optional proprietary charger at a speed of 1 kilometre per minute. Gravton’s SES (Swap EcoSystem) stages amenity with an exceptionally intelligent Urban Mobility Solution. With the Swap EcoSystem, the rider can track down the closest Gravton’s battery depot, ask for an extra battery and without a hitch assemble and swap the battery at any given location. It also plans to set up its battery swapping infrastructure at metro stations.

Sales And Price Of Gravton Quanta
Gravton Motors also offers a three year warranty on the bike as well as battery. There are telescopic front forks as well as dual-sided shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is taken care of by disc brakes at the front and rear fitted to 17-inch wheels and they run on CEAT rubber.
The all-new Gravton Quanta is launched at ₹ 99,000 and as a promotional offer, the company is offering the Gravton charging station free of cost to limited users. Initially, it will be available only in Hyderabad but the company plans to launch it in other cities in the coming years. In terms of dealerships, it plans to have four showrooms in Hyderabad and plans to start delivering the bike by October, he said. Gravton claims that it can manufacture 2,000 units per month from its production factory. In addition to this, it hopes to sell around 5,000 units in 2021 and 18,000 the next year.
