Engine And Battery Specific Of Jeep Compass 4xe

Jeep optimizes all-wheel drive which results in a total of 240 hp and a maximum torque of 525 Nm. It also combines its characteristic, legendary off-road capabilities with a powerful electric motor. The 180 horsepower 1.3 liter turbo petrol engine drives the front wheels, while the 60 horsepower electric motor, combined with lots of characteristic legendary off-road capabilities, located on the rear axle, drives the rear wheels. This reduces fuel consumption and emissions while increasing safety and performance. The car accelerates from zero to 100 kph in about 7.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 200 kph in hybrid mode and 130 kph using electric power only.

The American brand indicates that emissions are less than 50 g / km according to the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). With the new Jeep Compass 4xe Plug-In Hybrid we can choose between three different driving modes: Hybrid, uses the power of both motors, electric, only uses the electric motor and offers low-emission, quiet locomotion, and e-Save, in which the battery of our hybrid SUV is conserved and recharged. The introduction of the new sport mode in the Selec-Terrain system combines the maximum power of both engines in order to optimize both driving behavior and performance. It also gets an “Intense eCoasting” mode that dials up the amount of regenerative braking when both the throttle and brake pedal are released.
