JEEP COMPASS 4XE
Jeep is planning to launch its updated version of Compass plug-in hybrid in 2022. The vehicle is technically emphasized when compared with the ‘First Edition’ model which was launched in Europe in the late 2020s at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show. The Compass is the second model that Jeep is offering in Europe with a plug-in hybrid powertrain after the Renegade small SUV. The company claims that the model was put through their paces in real-world scenarios that customers themselves could encounter, as the vehicles’ advanced plug-in hybrid systems were tested to their limits. With compass 4xe, Jeep is starting a new age of mobility and developing further without forgetting the roots of the brand.
Engine And Battery Specific Of Jeep Compass 4xe
Jeep optimizes all-wheel drive which results in a total of 240 hp and a maximum torque of 525 Nm. It also combines its characteristic, legendary off-road capabilities with a powerful electric motor. The 180 horsepower 1.3 liter turbo petrol engine drives the front wheels, while the 60 horsepower electric motor, combined with lots of characteristic legendary off-road capabilities, located on the rear axle, drives the rear wheels. This reduces fuel consumption and emissions while increasing safety and performance. The car accelerates from zero to 100 kph in about 7.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 200 kph in hybrid mode and 130 kph using electric power only.
The American brand indicates that emissions are less than 50 g / km according to the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). With the new Jeep Compass 4xe Plug-In Hybrid we can choose between three different driving modes: Hybrid, uses the power of both motors, electric, only uses the electric motor and offers low-emission, quiet locomotion, and e-Save, in which the battery of our hybrid SUV is conserved and recharged. The introduction of the new sport mode in the Selec-Terrain system combines the maximum power of both engines in order to optimize both driving behavior and performance. It also gets an “Intense eCoasting” mode that dials up the amount of regenerative braking when both the throttle and brake pedal are released.
The Jeep Compass 4xe is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 11 kWh which enables fully electric driving for 50 kilometers. Recharging takes just 100 minutes with the 7.4 kW Wallbox, or 3 and a half hours when recharged at 3 kW. Charging can be managed via the driver’s smartphone. The Wallbox is an intelligent and intuitive charging system that can be easily installed at home. The Wallbox provides an overview of how much energy is consumed in the house and adjusts its charging capacity accordingly in order to avoid overloading our power grid. It is also able to record charging data in order to optimize future charging processes.
Interior Accentuation Of Jeep Compass 4xe
The Compass’ interior is entirely new with a horizontal theme for the dash illuminated with genuine wood, aluminum and carbon fiber. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are along for the ride, and so is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, interactive 3D TomTom navigation and natural voice recognition. The frameless screen provides access to a new version of Stellantis’ easy-to-use Uconnect control system.
Based on an Android operating system, Uconnect 5.0 is five times faster than Jeep’s current processor. It responds to “Hey Jeep” wake words and swiping motions. We will be able to get a clear diagnosis of the vehicle, plan and select the charging power and find the nearest charging station within the display. The infotainment system combines the latest options to get the most out of hybrid mobility. With the new GOe app we can analyze our driving behavior, plan or record routes and compare energy consumption as well as the operating costs and emissions of our Jeep Compass 4xe plug-in hybrid with another vehicle.
