Electric scooters are the new hotness. Almost every Silicon Valley tech unicorn is working on them. Ola, which is backed by Uber, has unveiled an electric scooter recently in the EV grounds of India. The scooter is called the Ola Electric Scooter and it is the first personal electric scooter to be offered on the market which is revolutionizing the way that people are traveling. Ola is an electric scooter company that offers a number of mobility options to the public and is dedicated in making the world a better place by providing safe and reliable mobility options.

The Ola Electric Scooter is a single-person, electric scooter that can be used for both personal and commercial purposes. The color options will be bestowing upon its new electric scooter give the machine a very cool and youthful aesthetic. This e-scooter will receive a choice of 10 different colour options with matte and gloss shades that will include more common colours of white, silver and black, along with more vibrant hues of blue, red, pink and yellow. Battery And Engine Of Ola S-Series Electric Scooter

The Ola S-series will entail three electric scooter models. They will be reputedly called the Ola S, Ola S1, and Ola S1 Pro. The base mutant, the Ola S will come with a 2KW motor, the mid-range S1 model will pack a 4KW motor, and the high-end Ola S1 Pro will boast a 7KW motor. The base model, with a 2KW motor, will be able to reach a top speed of 45 km / hr, while the Ola S1 will be able to top at 70 km / h. The top-end Ola S1 Pro, on the other hand, is said to reach a top speed of 95 km / h.

With the help of lithium-ion powered batteries the vehicles can achieve a driving range that can cover a distance of 240 km on a full charge. In terms of acceleration the scooter can accelerate 0 to 45 kmph in just 3.9 seconds. The company claims that the scooter can cover 75km with a charge of 18 minutes.  It is also equipped with a regenerative braking system, which is designed to help recharge the batteries.

According to company, this Scooter will offer keyless access so you can unlock it using the app on your phone. It is likely that there will be an option to use a physical key, too. It features a dual-lamp headlight at the front, a full-color TFT screen, as well as techie features including Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. A big storage space under its seat that can apparently accommodate two full-size helmets, as well as flush-fit retracting pillion foot pegs, and a USB charging port is also featured in this extravagant electric scooter.

Sales And Price Of Ola S-Series Electric Scooter

Last July 15, Ola Electric opened pre-bookings for the upcoming electric scooter. For a refundable token amount of ₹ 499 and this token gives proper priority to customers. Price ranges are not yet disclosed by the company but their reports show that the values are competitive enough.

So we can expect the range between ₹ 1 lakh and ₹ 1.2 lakh. They have yet to give a firm date concerning the launch of the scooter. The company is also planning to help their customers, that is Ola Electric owners with matters regarding the recharge of vehicle. For this they are planning to build a national wide charging network named under Ola Hypercharger and claims it to be the world’s largest two-wheeler charging network.

The vehicles are manufactured at tge company’s new plant in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, in India. This is a primary project with an investment of ₹ 2,400 crore and it is set to be the world’s largest e-scooter manufacturing facility.
