- Tata Nexon EV
Tata Motors has only two EV in the line-up in which the third one, Xpres T EV is only available for fleet owners. Tata Nexon EV is ranked as the best-selling SUV in India that thrashed Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. It has gained a YoY growth of 88.7% and thus possesses a market share of 62% in 2021. Between the period April and October 1586 units were sold and led to 439% of growth in the last year, in which the surge from November to December was 29%. It has won the Winner of Subcompact SUV of the Year Award at the 2018 edition of NDTV’s Car and Bike Awards.
- MG ZS EV
The year 2021 witnessed the sale of 1789 MG ZS electric cars whereas, only 511 units were sold from April to September of 2020. It has attained a surge of 250% and a market share of about 29%. MG ZS is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor that generates 353 Nm of torque and runs up to 340km on a single charge itself. This Hyundai Kona electric car stands at the fourth position as the growth was pinned down by 2021. The year 2021 saw the sale of 51 cars, but 101 cars were sold in 2020. The growth was declined at a rate of 49.50%, but Hyundai Kona was the Winner of Electric Vehicle of the Year Award at the 2019 Tech and Auto Awards. - Mahindra e-Verito
Mahindra e-Verito is the fifth and final one among the top best-selling electric cars in India during the Fiscal year of 2020. This all-electric sedan has also attained the same fate as the Hyundai Kona with a down growth of 75%. Only two pieces were sold in this year whereas the last year saw the sale of 8 pieces.
