Nexon EV MAX: Tata Motors Unveiled The Successive Variant Of Nexon EV

On May 11, the mastered electric vehicles division of Tata Motors, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility unveiled the successive variant of its all-time popular Tata Nexon EV as a high range model, Nexon EV MAX. And, it will be coming in two variants that are XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. Its predecessor Nexon EV, which was launched in 2020, has already shined in the Indian automobile industry as the best-selling electric car in India. Still, Nexon is craving to win big through this modified version, Nexon EV MAX.

The major modification of Nexon EV MAX is that it is powered by a battery pack with of capacity 40.5kwh which is 30% larger than the battery pack of the existing model with a capacity of 30.2kwh. This huge battery thus facilitates to offer an enhanced range from 400 to 450km that is against the 312km claimed by the Nexon EV on a single charge. To be precise, 437km is the ARAI-certified range of this advanced version under controlled and ideal conditions. Actually, in real-world situations, it would be able to run at a range of 300km before plugging in. However, in the case of Nexon EV the actual range could be figured out to be 210km in the genuine range of the superior version still remains impressive and efficient. While the battery size enlarges, Nexon does not compromise the boot capacity and yet keeps on the boot space to 350 liters.

Nexon EV MAX will be a feature-packed crossover that would offer nothing inferior to Nexon EV. Everything about it including the styling aspect, technological aspect, and pricing are of high caliber. While enhancing the driving range, it also endows more power for taking in the car with a power output of 143hp which is counter to the iconic model’s 136hp. The top speed will reach up to a level of 140kmph and the torque is estimated to be at a rate of 250Nm.

Nexon EV MAX runs to achieve acceleration from 0 to 100kph in just 9 seconds. The huge battery mounted in it can be juiced up by both regular and rapid charging units. A 3.3kwh charging unit comes as standard with the vehicle and also a rapid charger of 7.2kwh is also available which wages extra cost. Such a powerful setup will thus reach the maximum level of charge within 6 hours.

Already two color options were available for Nexon Ev that are Pristine White and Daytona Grey. Now, as an additional hue for Nexon EV MAX, they are including a bright hue in the paint palette, an elegant intense – teal color. While enhancing the battery size, power, and range Nexon did not fail to incorporate additional upgrades in terms of features in order to keep on par with its formidable opponents. The inner cabin is featured with leatherette and ventilated seats, an air purifier and the dial knobs for altering the modes are jeweled. The infotainment screen mounted on the dashboard is 17.78cm and backed up by the Harman sound system. There is a detailed list of advanced properties in it, like the wireless phone charger, smartwatch integration, remote diagnostics, remote commands, one-click trackers, geo-fencing, charging station locator, intrusion alert, charge limiting setting, etc.

In case of safety, the highlighting features will not end as Nexon EV MAX is very much loaded with plenty of groundbreaking safety technologies like electronic parking brake with auto vehicle hold, auto-dimming, IRVM, i- VBAC ( Intelligent  Vacuum less Boost, And Active Control), ABS with EBS, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, 4 disc brakes, panic brake alert, IP67 rating for the battery pack and motor, etc. Most importantly, two front airbags and Isofix child seat anchors are also endowed in it.

All these cutting-edge technological features are added by aiming to pacify the requirements of EV customers and to make the position of Nexon safe enough in the electric era by bestowing their best to the customers. Also, to keep on par with its strong rivals like Hyundai Kona Electric, MG ZS EV, and Nexon EV MAX needs to offer extras for us. We are expecting that the delivery will commence in the coming weeks. The price ranges for both the trim level are also announced in which the addition of a fast charger wages extra cost.
