It can also be charged at home by plugging it into a 110 volt or 220 volt outlet, it will have a slow charging time. Volvo says machine’s range should improve over car’s lifetime through planned Over-The-Air software updates.

This Volvo C40 models will have two electric motors, one placed in the front and other mounted in the rear, all wheel drive is standard. Each motor will come up with two hundred and four horse power and together both motors will provide a combined output of four hundred and eight horse power along with 660 Nm of torque. It will accelerate from zero to hundred kph in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed limited to one hundred and eighty kph.

Standard technologies are likely to be offered by Volvo when C40 Recharge reaches the market. The Volvo C40 will be available as a part of care by Volvo subscription service that will include a home charging station and an extended maintenance plan. Limited warranty covers four years or fifty thousand miles. Powertrain warranty covers four years or fifty thousand miles. Battery components are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles. Complimentary scheduled maintenance is covered for three years or thirty six thousand miles.

A touch screen will run on Google Android based infotainment system and it will be standard. The system will be offered with unlimited data usage, provide navigation through Google Maps, it will respond to voice commands via Google Assistant and other apps can also be downloaded through Google Play Store. The Swedish car maker is set to launch the C40 Recharge in India in the coming months. The base price is expected to start at Rs. 50.00 – 55.00 lakh.
