Mahindra acquired Reva Electric Car company in 2010 and soon after that, electric vehicles gained popularity. Mahindra launched its entry-level electric car Mahindra e20 in 2014. Over time, the company managed to launch two cars under its portfolio. Mahindra e-Verito electric car has been in the market since 2016 and is now expected to lead the EV market. Mahindra is dominating the Indian electric car market. 

Mahindra Electric began delivering Mahindra e-Verito to Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) in November 2017 after the company won the tender issued by a state-run department to provide electric cars for government offices. Going forward with the trend, electric powertrain on already existing systems, most of the car manufacturers are working hard to launch their electric cars in the Electric Vehicle market.

The exterior look of Mahindra e-Verito may be a decade old but still, it continues to look as fresh as ever. A Big thanks to the use of chrome, which most Indians love in their car. The car reminds everyone of Mahindra-Renault Logan that was renamed the Mahindra Verito after both the companies announced that they are no longer working together. 

Soon after that, Verito got a refurbished electric version with an electric motor and now will be delivered to the EESL as per tender locking horns with Tata Tigor electric. Mahindra e-Verito and Tata Tigor electric cars will become the first EVs to be delivered to government officers for daily commutation. 

The best thing about Mahindra e-Verito is its spacious design with a huge boot space of 510L. The battery giving power to the electric motor is located beneath the car that has saved space for the passengers. The electric badge at the rear end and Mahindra Electric (ME+) on the side help viewers notice it as an electric variant. The overall design of the car may not be new, the car still looks classy and elegant. E-Verito comes with body-colored bumpers, door handles and ORVMs, and power windows.

Mahindra e-Verito looks nice on the inside. Its spacious design with the beautiful dashboard in its grey-beige hard plastic won’t let you take your eyes off it. The round-shaped A/C vents are colored in silver and some chrome finishing on the e-Verito badge has been given by the company to add a new style to it. 

The dashboard featuring a 2-DIN Audio system with a USB and AUX port won’t let you get bored while you are on the way.

Mahindra e-Verito will be delivered to EESL and will be available on sale in many cities. This car is driven by a 72V 3-phase AC Induction Motor that generates a maximum power of 41 hp and maximum torque of 91 Nm. 

The engine is designed for direct drive single-speed transmission. That means you won’t feel engine noise even if you drive the car through any industrial area.

Its gross weight is 1700 kgs but the drivers and passengers would never feel it. The company claims that this car can manage to cover 80 kmph without any hassle. When in the boost mode, more power is released to the wheels. That means the car will drive faster and allow you to have a fun-filled experience of an electric car. 

The top-spec model D6 of Mahindra e-Verito comes with an option of fast charging. Normal charging at home takes about 8-9 hours to charge the battery up to 80%. Fast charging takes less than 2 hours to completely charge the battery and support a driving range of 140 kilometers in a single charge.

So many safety features come loaded with this car to make your journey safe and comfortable. Some of the key safety features include Driver airbag, Anti-Lock braking system, central locking, power door locks, child safety lock. Passenger side rear mirror, rear seat belt, seat belt warning. Anti-theft device, and many more.

The expected ex-showroom price of Mahindra E Verito is Rs.10.15-10.49 Lakhs in Delhi.

Mahindra e-Verito looks more like a sedan and the day is near when cars like this will be seen with cab service providers like Uber and Ola. With this, major car manufacturers will look forward to changing their specifications to switch to environment-friendly electric cars.
